Favorite Restaurants In Cambodia

If you’ve just watched our Cambodia: Could We Live There video, and you’re wondering about where to find the restaurants we mentioned and the delicious food we ate during our month in Cambodia, we’ve detailed them all below. If you’ve somehow managed to find this article without having watched the video, here’s the link to our YouTube episode to check it out. Below are the locations for each dish and how much you can expect to pay.

Rice is one of the most important Cambodian dishes, so you can expect to find rice in many of the dishes. A lot of the food is similar to Central Thai dishes, as evidenced by the spicy beef basil dish from Our Place, but it typically has less spice and sugar than Thailand. Fish amok is one of the most traditional dishes and we ate a good amount of it. If you ask for a recommendation, you can be pretty sure that the waitstaff will suggest fish amok! Khmer Kitchen’s version is tasty and inexpensive.

If this is your first time in Southeast Asia, be aware that in the spirit of Asian street food dishes, most places will bring out food as it is ready in the kitchen, so you may find that one person in your group has their food before everyone else. If you need them to bring out all your dishes at once, you need to let them know when you order. However, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. The same goes for Cambodia!
